Every Audi engine that is brought in to this facility goes through an intricate and fascinating process of reconditioning. The mechanical analysis inspection process is the first step of reconditioning process. A team of highly trained technicians starts to dismantle and strip down the engine to its bare components and using specialist cleaning equipment, all engine components are degreased and cleaned. A team of mechanical experts takes over and check each and every component removing and discarding each component that is suspect of showing a fault even in near future. Engine blocks and cylinder heads are honed and pressure tested. And valves are resurfaced. Engine assembly process starts and new components are carefully placed to ensure quality parts are assembled correctly and engines are timed up with brand new timing kits. Lastly the engine goes through the quality control process where these are inspected by the master mechanics.
